Minimalism

You can live a great life if you are a minimalist. There is maximum output if you live your life on simpler terms. Enjoying luxuries of life is not a bad thing at all but does that really give you what you want? Does it give you the peace you are looking for? Does it make you feel blissful at the end of the day? Or is it something you do to run away from your issues and depression?

I think most people don’t really understand the real meaning of living simply. The true essence of simple living is not only denoted as eating simple food, having a sub-standard car, living in a small house, not buying many clothes but should be seen as spending wisely and not wasting your cash on unnecessary things. A 500-dollar phone will do just as good as a 1000-dollar phone. So why spending that 500 dollars extra? People would often say that they can afford so spending an extra 500 dollars is not a big deal for them. But can you imagine that 500 dollars could buy 250 meals for homeless people.

Have you ever though of sacrificing a small thing in place of offering 20 homeless people with 2 times of meal? How often and easily people spend eating in expensive restaurants regularly and not realizing that this extra money spent on the meals can feed hundreds of needy people. There are so many other things on which you can probably wait or not at all buy and spend that money wisely on some good cause. I am not telling you to go to restaurant for fancy meals. Go there occasionally and when you really need to and not because you must.

I am not asking you to become philanthropist or to do charity. I am just telling you to think many times before spending huge bucks on an expensive meal or an unnecessary item or collection that will only satisfy you once. On the other hand, the satisfaction you will get by feeding homeless and needy people will go a long way.

Don’t cut down on your regular expenses, just figure out the things that can be avoided, and save that money to help others. After all people who can afford are the ones who must be responsible to help who can’t afford. It is your moral duty to help the weaker and to support the needy.

There are many advantages of being a minimalist. First, you stay humble. Second, you are also concerned about others and society. Third, you never give a thought to show off your stuff and you remain in your own aura. That’s the biggest trait to have in today’s era. These days people are running after money like a clock, they want to achieve things by hook or crook. In this scenario it is crucial to stay minimalist in order to stay mentally fit.

Minimalism will also be a great remedy for depression. Most people are depressed due to career failures and to be not be able to earn the expected amount of money. If you are a minimalist, then you are one of those who will remain happy in even tough times because you know the true essence of this magical life.

Being minimalist doesn’t mean having less, it means that you care for others and want to contribute to the society directly or indirectly.

Love and power to you
