Love and Respect Yourself

Just remember this simple thing in life that until and unless you love and respect yourself you are not going to get respect and love from others. This is the first step towards success. When you start loving yourself then you are on the way of becoming a confident person.

Although this love shouldn’t be unconditional. You must be prepared to criticize yourself when needed. On the contrary, also respect yourself when you achieve something. Even if it is a small achievement, you must pat your back and have admiration for yourself in your own eyes.

One must believe in his/her own abilities and must rate themselves higher than others or at least at par. You should always have this belief in your heart that you are good enough to do a certain thing and must back yourself to achieve anything. Massive credence comes from pampering yourself. Believe that you are good enough to be respected and loved by others.

There are many people who look for validation from others about their own personality. They want people to respect them for who they are. They want love from others. But this doesn’t happen in most of the cases. Love and respect can only be gained if you deserve it. No achievement or accumulation of capital can fetch you respect and love. Your personality or persona gets you the love and respect you want in life. You must love yourself for what you do, for who you are, for what you want to be. You’ve got to love everything about yourself. I am not telling you to become self-centered but try to give yourself importance. Respect your own decisions in life. Treat yourself as you treat a VIP person. Don’t settle for the ordinary, be unique and special.

Once you start treating yourself well, you will see the change in other’s behavior as well. People who once didn’t treat you well, will change their conduct towards you. When you start loving yourself, your aura will change completely. You will feel more poised and complete in life.

                                   This is an activity that most millennial's lack these days. I am afraid that reading books will soon be a thing of the past. Books are your real friends. When you need inspiration, you can grab a book and read it. You learn greatly through books. I remember that I was never a good reader.
