You will find thousands of people in your life who will tell you to stick to the basics and follow the prescribed steps to gain success. But I am not a proponent of this thought and think that success doesn’t have a definite definition or a recipe.

So being conventional in every field of life is not necessary. I am not saying that you must not follow a certain path in order to achieve something. For an instance, if you want to practice Law then you must graduate in Law. There’s no alternative to that. But how a qualified lawyer runs his/her practice cannot be same.

There is no set guideline to run a practice or a business, it can be conventional or unconventional. Similar is the case with everything in this world. You can be conventional or unconventional with your approach, both are acceptable, and both can lead you to success.

Many people don’t often choose the unconventional way of doing things. They think that it might not work as most experts don’t trust that approach. This is the biggest mistake that people make. There can be multiple ways of reaching a goal. It all depends on the person and his/her abilities. Everyone has different mindset and capacity. It is not necessary that a same remedy can work for everyone. Different people respond to medicines in a different manner. Similarly, they will approach a certain thing contrarily.

You must never be shy of trying unconventional methods to achieve something. I have learned a big thing in life, ‘reaching your destination matters, how you reach there is not a concern’. Although you need to be ethical in your approach, but eccentric methods are equally effective when applied correctly. Being unconventional is being different and being different means that you will have less competition.

So, get rid of the conventional ways if they are not working. It is not worth wasting your time on something that is not giving you returns. Ignore the experts, keep your egos aside and take up unconventional methods and reach your goals.
